Message The cam sprocket violently moving is normal and does not move enough to cause damage as long as you rotated it back backwards- not making it do a full rotation.

Check your belt, counting the teeth, to see if it is timed correctly. Sounds like your problem to me.

You should install new plugs instead of cleaning old ones. That's another thing wrong w/ the job.

Also, the clutch may not need adjusting- just get used to it.
